Our goal is to promote high quality early childhood education throughout the world. We draw from 25 years of experience in running education facilities in Germany. In addition, we have realized projects of our own in Australia and Poland which have spurred our internationalization. Through this process we have gained valuable knowledge that enables us to implement pedagogical concepts internationally.
Feasibility and market analysis
We investigate what is actually needed, which parts of our concepts and service portfolio can be implemented and what adaptations have to be made.
Pedagogical concepts
Our core competence involves the development, assessment and implementation of early learning concepts. FRÖBEL has over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and has become one of the most modern childcare providers. Our pedagogical concepts are widely respected.
The play-based, child-centered FRÖBEL pedagogical concept is at the heart of our pedagogical philosophy. It emphasizes our three educational principles attachment, individualization and participation and sets the pedagogical frame for the work at all our early learning centers. On the local level, each center has a certain degree of freedom to adopt additional pedagogical concepts and elements such as Forest pedagogy, Montessori or Reggio, Little Scientists initiative and many more. We continually look to improve our concepts by being open to new ideas to enrich our pedagogical routines.
We have gained valuable insights into how to implement a bilingual concept. Bilingual education at FRÖBEL follows an immersive method and is an integral part of all of our centers abroad and many FRÖBEL kindergartens in Germany. We believe in the benefits of early language learning and a multicultural, inclusive learning environment.
We offer interested childcare providers our consultancy services to improve upon their existing concepts or introduce new conceptual elements. Our pedagogical concepts and materials and quality development tools form the base of our training courses. Our holistic approach ensures good quality in early learning.

Training & HR concepts
With 3,000 FRÖBEL educators and other employees in Germany and more than 100 employees abroad we have acquired extensive knowledge in the field of human resources and personnel development measures. It is vital to understand what qualifications and attitudes a great early childhood professional needs to present and how best to develop individual potential. In tailor-made consultancy solutions we can incorporate our knowhow by giving support regarding
- Preparation of detailed job descriptions
- Implementation of candidate management and personnel selection processes
- Introduction of an induction process for new employees
- Planning and realization of conferences such as leadership congress or specialist conferences
- Introduction of career pathways for staff members
- Incentive schemes based on the participation in professional development measures

Interior design and architecture
Our early learning centers vary in design and layout. However, all of them carry a unique FRÖBEL signature and an orientation towards German standards when it comes to building quality (e.g. safety and emergency settings, fire prevention, escape paths etc.). We have acquired extensive knowledge in various areas of ECE project realization, including
- Selection of appropriate equipment and furnishing
- Expertise in flexible interior design as well as materials and surfaces suitable for children
- Carefully considering transitions, service areas and overall infrastructure
- A vivid idea and description of ideal building quality
We work with a network of service providers and offer to consult for service providers such as architects, planners and procurement specialists. In addition, we also undertake internal audits of existing structures and show paths for processual optimization.
Together with Steffen Welsch Architects, FRÖBEL Australia has realized a “successful transformation of a two-storey former administration building within a constrained site into a vibrant and spatially complex place with excellent facilities for little children.” They were awarded the 2015 A4LE Award in the category of “Renovation/ Modernization over AUD3M”.
