In addition to consultancy services, FRÖBEL operates early learning centers through its subsidiaries and cooperation partners abroad – Australia and Poland. To date we are present in three different cities – Sydney, Melbourne and Poznan.

Australia

The Australian early learning centers were the first FRÖBEL kindergartens abroad. Since 2009, FROEBEL Australia limited is the premium non-profit provider of bilingual children’s services and offer early education for children from as young as 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We are currently operating for centers – two in Sydney (Alexandria and St Leonards) and two in Melbourne (Fitzroy North and Parkville). FROEBEL Australia’s program is based on the Early Years Learning Frame work and designed to encourage children’s autonomy, self-confidence and self-esteem.

In addition to our early learning centers, FROEBEL Australia initiated a partnership with the “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation in 2013 and is proud to bring the Little Scientists program to children and educators across Australia. Little Scientists Australia is based on the successful work of the German Foundation “Haus der kleinen Forscher”, established in 2006. The development of workshops and materials by “Haus der kleinen Forscher” draws on current knowledge in developmental psychology, learning research, early education and didactics.

Poland

In January 2015, FROEBEL Polska Sp. z o.o. opened its first kindergarten “MALTA” in Poznan. The Polish subsidiary is the youngest of all FRÖBEL International operations and marks a logical step in bringing the FRÖBEL concept to Poland and bringing the two neighbors closer together.

On over 260sqm of indoor and 450sqm garden space, 35 children enjoy the bilingual German-Polish education concept. The intercultural team consisting of native German and Polish speaking educators, regularly organizes trips to the nearby zoo and Lake Malta.

Germany

Through its not-for-profit subsidiary FRÖBEL Education and Childcare gGmbH, FRÖBEL e.V. operates child guidance centres, as well as crèches, kindergartens and after-school clubs, in more than half of Germany’s federal states. This makes FRÖBEL the biggest national not-for-profit provider of children’s day-care centres in Germany.

FRÖBEL is an important and dependable partner for youth welfare authorities in the provision of additional kindergarten places. In the past, an average of ten new facilities have been opened each year. Businesses appreciate FRÖBEL’s experience in the provision of employer-sponsored childcare.

FRÖBEL stands for high-quality educational provision and innovation. The rights of children form the core of our mission statement. Our conceptual framework for education, conception of quality and concepts for further training and professional development are all based on these rights.

Staff receive continuing training and further qualification at our own FRÖBEL Education and Training Centre (which is called FRÖBEL-Bildungswerk), while specialist educational consultants support management and teams in the crèches and kindergartens.
